West Dover, VT (January 20, 2011) - The Kelly Clark Foundation, a registered nonprofit organization that supports young athletes in financial need to attend mountain schools in order to pursue their snowboarding dreams, today announced the distribution of its first round of scholarship funding totaling $11,500 that was awarded to seven young snowboarders to attend five different mountain schools across the United States.
The first round of grant recipients will utilize the scholarships to attend mountain schools including Carrabasset Valley Academy (Maine), Mount Snow Academy (Vermont), Okemo Mountain School (Vermont), Steamboat Ski and Snowboard School (Steamboat Springs, CO), and Stratton Mountain School (Vermont) for the 2010-2011 academic year.
